What you'll do

Join our Patagonia hiking tours and explore the breathtaking landscapes of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. Trek the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, kayak the serene Lago del Desierto and gear up with the best Patagonia hiking equipment. Experience the thrill of El Chaltén, the trekking capital of Argentina. Our expert guides ensure a safe, unforgettable journey across this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Itinerary

Upon landing at El Calafate airport, our Patagonia hiking adventure begins. A transfer will escort you to our hotel in this vibrant town, nestled on the southern banks of Lago Argentina. As the primary hub for exploring Los Glaciares National Park and the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, El Calafate offers many fine accommodations and museums dedicated to the Patagonia region. Enjoy the afternoon and evening at your leisure, soaking in the local culture and scenic views. We recommend arriving around 12-1 PM.
An early start takes us on a mini trekking tour at the Perito Moreno Glacier, a highlight of our Patagonia hiking trip. This full-day excursion includes a sail across the glacier's icy facade and a one-hour exploration of its walkways, offering breathtaking views 7 km from the port. Length: 7 km (4,3 m) Time: 10 hours (including 1 hour visit of the glacier)
After breakfast, we'll transfer to El Chaltén, a young town famed for its access to trails leading to Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, the highest peaks in the region. Spend your free day exploring the town or enjoy an easy hike from town, experiencing the serene beauty and rugged landscapes that make El Chaltén a key destination for Patagonia hiking tours. Length by car: 220 km (136,7 m)
Today's hike from Hostería El Pilar to Laguna de Los Tres is the pinnacle of our hiking itinerary in Patagonia. Traverse forests of Lenga trees and stop at the Piedras Blancas glacier viewpoint. The trail culminates at the stunning Laguna De Los Tres, situated at the base of Fitz Roy’s massif. After a rewarding day, we return to El Chaltén for the night. Length: 22 km (13,6 m) Time: 8-9 hours
After breakfast, embark on a journey through the Torres Valley, heading towards the "Laguna Madre e Hija" and eventually reaching Cerro Torre's valley. This trek allows ample wildlife sightings and photography opportunities, encapsulating the essence of hiking in Patagonia. Length: 20 km (12,4 m) Time: 6 hours
A scenic drive leads us to Lago del Desierto, where a kayaking session awaits. Paddle the crystal-clear waters, enjoy views of the Huemul and Vespignani glaciers, and delve into the natural splendour that defines Patagonia hiking tours. The day ends with a leisurely return to El Chaltén. Time: 7 hours
Depart El Chaltén by bus, arriving at El Calafate airport in time for your onward journey. This marks the conclusion of your unforgettable Patagonia hiking tour, rich with natural beauty and adventurous trails. Will arrive at the airport around 10.30-11 AM.
