Sardinia is the place where sea and rocks find a new dimension and merge into one, creating a unique set of colors, sceneries and emotions. Climbing here is a recent discovery of the ‘80s, but it continuously developed in the past 4 decades and now the island counts more than 4000 single pitches. Limestone is the king in the island, but you will also find some granite jewels like Capo Pecora and the climbing styles range from friction slab to steep overhangs. The island has something for everybody, you only need some local help to get the best out of it!
One week fully immersed in the beauty of Sardinia, specifically on the south-west coast in the Iglesias, Domusnovas and Buggerru area. The whole trip will be guided by a certified alpine guide.
This is a climbing trip for climbers but no min. level is required, since Marco is a full certified mountain guide. What is needed is an adventurous attitude and thirst for exploration! You will find grades ranging from 5+ to 8+ and all the crags will be selected depending on the level and the preferences of the group. The good thing of climbing with the locals is that you can decide last minute depending on the weather and wind conditions to always get the best out of the day!
Mapo Tapo selects crags and local partners with the utmost care. We can for any inaccuracies, however, accept no liability. Rock climbing is a risk sport that takes place in nature. Ultimately, you are fully responsible for the choices you make. Mapo Tapo recommends that anyone who does not have sufficient knowledge not to go outdoor alone.
The program is very flexible to take into account weather conditions, climbing level -and endurance of the group
