Jany
Jany is a ski and rock climbing guide from the Czech Republic, and founder of Rockbusters and Snowbusters. He has been teaching skiing for over 20 years and spends most of his winters in search of demanding off-piste ski lines.
Lukas
Lukas is an avid skier and guide with over 35 years of experience and a wide range of knowledge throughout the whole spectrum of snow sports. His background in Physical Education helps him break down complex techniques into simple steps, so you'll find yourself improving in no time!
Jonas
Jonas has been skiing for over 45 years and worked in the Kaprun region of Austria for 25 of these. A highly qualified skiing guide, he is the perfect person to introduce you to new techniques.

DAY 1
On-Piste Warm-Up
On your first day in Bad Gastein, we'll kick off with an exciting on-piste warm-up. You'll have the opportunity to dust off those ski skills and get acquainted with your fellow adventurers. Our certified skiing instructors will assess each participant's abilities to ensure a tailored experience. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, we've got you covered. It's all about setting the stage for the exhilarating days ahead.
DAY 2
Days 2-4: Off-Piste Mastery
As we move into the heart of the trip, days two through four will be dedicated to off-piste terrain. Armed with the knowledge and techniques you've gained from our expert mountain guides, you'll conquer the challenging world of backcountry skiing. From mastering linked parallel turns on varying steepness to perfecting mogul and tree skiing techniques, you'll put your newfound skills into action. Expect breathtaking landscapes and thrilling descents as you explore Bad Gastein's pristine wilderness.
DAY 3
Day 5: Celebration and Reflection
On the final day of your adventure, it's time to celebrate your achievements and reflect on your journey. You and your newfound friends will have the chance to showcase your improved skills during an exhilarating ski session. Afterward, we'll gather for a closing ceremony to commemorate your time in Bad Gastein. Share stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tips and tricks you've picked up along the way. It's a day of camaraderie and a fitting conclusion to an unforgettable ski trip.
The programme is very flexible to take into account weather conditions, activities level and endurance of the group.

Skiing skills
This course is designed for intermediate to advanced on-piste skiers with little off-piste experience. You should be able to get down any slope or accessible off-piste tours - although it's okay if you lack technique and confidence, as this is what we'll be working on :) A good level of physical fitness is recommended.
Ski-touring gear rental
You can rent basic ski-touring equipment (skis, boots, poles) and avalanche rescue equipment (beacon, probe and shovel) for this trip. Just let us know what you need (specific gear or the full set) and your guide will provide you with everything. You can choose between renting each item individually or renting a set of ski-touring and/or avalanche rescue equipment. It is mandatory for everyone to have a full avalanche kit with them at all times when ski-touring.
Travel
Please DO NOT book your flights until this trip is confirmed. Most of our trips require a minimum number of participants to run. Wait for the status of the trip to be confirmed and for more information go to the "How it works" section

Mapo Tapo selects locations and mountain guides with the utmost care. We can for any inaccuracies, however, accept no liability. Ski-touring is a risky sport that takes place in nature. Ultimately, you are fully responsible for the choices you make. Mapo Tapo recommends that anyone who does not have sufficient knowledge to go outdoors accompanied by a certified mountain guide.

What level do I need to be at to participate in this trip?
You should be an intermediate to advanced skiier and able to get down any slope/ easy off-pistes. No need for perfect technique or confidence, though, as this is what we will develop.
What is the maximum number of people who can join this trip?
Each certified guide can accommodate up to 7 participants. This allows for personalized attention and a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone in the gro
What fitness level do I need to have to join this trip?
Participants should be able to navigate down red slopes or easy off-piste terrains, even if they need to work on their technique or confidence. It's suitable for adults and children from 15 years onwards. You're welcome to join whether you're an individual, a couple, or a group of friends.
Is the flight included?
No, the flight is not included in the package. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to the designated meeting point.
