Overview
You will be cycling in the nature of the fabulous Marche Apennines! An itinerary that winds its way from the Apennines to the coast along gravel roads, some paths and stretches of asphalt. Cross the region leaving from the heart of Italy, to the waters crystalline waters of the Adriatic Sea, at the foot of Conero Mount. At each stage of the journey you will be enriched with stories, flavours! You will experience the authenticity and history of a people rooted in ancient peasant traditions. You will have the chance to dip your hands in wet cotton and create your first sheet of paper on which you will imprint the emotions of this journey!

DAY 1
First day: Fabriano
The first stop will be Fabriano! Arrive in time to enjoy a nice independent tour of the city. The facility where you will be staying is located in the historic centre, but you will find free parking possibilities near it.
The Basecamp523 team will advise you on the best places to visit. Be sure not to miss the aperitif with the rest of the group and the guide! Together you will enjoy wines and local products in an eno-gastronomic tasting, so you will have a first encounter with the flavours and aromas of the region, which you will then rediscover along the route, right there in the land where they come from.
DAY 2
Time to start cycling!
After a hearty breakfast, you will visit the workshop of the Mastro Cartaio (Master Papermaker), where you will make sheets of paper with your own hands, according to ancient tradition!
After a good packed lunch and the final set-up of the bicycles, we will set off towards San Vittore di Genga. You will cross the Parco delle Gola della Rossa e Frasassi (Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Park) for an itinerary of about 20 km on dirt roads.
When you reach the stage, you can decide whether to relax in your accommodation, hike and bath in the river, visit the famous Frasassi caves or the Valadier temple, or take a dip in the San Vittore thermal baths.
In the end, a good dinner will be waiting for you!
DAY 3
Beekeeper for one day!
After a good night's sleep you set off on the next stage, the most demanding of the trip, today you will cover 50km! From Genga you will set off towards Mount Murano, which from its 830 metre height will give you breathtaking views of the entire region!
For lunch you are expected by Andrea, a passionate beekeeper. There, a lunch based on farm produce will await you. After lunch, you will put on your beekeeper's clothes and go to the apiary to listen to Andrea explain the world of bees! You will become beekeepers for a day, collect royal jelly and take it to the laboratory for extraction.
At the end of this exciting experience, you will leave for Montecarotto, home of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, one of the most important Italian white wines. A delicious dinner awaits you there!
DAY 4
Today's stage: San Marcello!
Today's stage: San Marcello! We will cover approximately 20 km through the Verdicchio hills of the castles of Jesi!
Once in San Marcello, there will be Giorgio waiting for you, who will lead you among the olive trees and help you refine your sense of smell and taste.
Continuing the tasting, we will move on to Massimo and Pascale's in their sustainable, biodynamic and biotic vineyard. Here they produce wine in amphora according to an ancient technique already in use by the Picenes over 2,000 years ago.
We are hosted in their small agriturismo/osteria for dinner and overnight. The osteria's dishes use grapes, reductions and jellies from the grapes they grow and are prepared with ingredients that reflect the cycle of nature.
DAY 5
Among the ancient "Borghi"
Today is village day! You will travel approximately 40 km among the most beautiful villages in the Marche region. Short stop San Marcello surrounded by vineyards, then down towards the Terra dei Castelli to Polverigi.
Climbing and descending we will find ourselves at the enchanting village of Offagna; here it will be possible to visit free choice museums or discover essential oils in the company of Sara.
We will spend the night right here in Offagna. Dinner will be free, so arm yourselves to find the best restaurant to eat at!
DAY 6
Reaching the Conero sea!
The last stop before reaching the Conero sea.
We will reach the seaside village of Sirolo, on the slopes of Mount Conero, where your guide will help you experience this enchanting natural park at its best! You will choose to visit the city of Ancona, or create the Titian red colour and paint the Fabrianese paper you created on the first day! There will also be a kayak excursion for those who wish!
DAY 7
Last day = Relax day!
A free day to relax by the sea or go on an excursion! Let yourself be inspired by the advice of the Basecamp523 team to enjoy the day to the full with visits and activities on your own!
On this last day, lunch and dinner will be free! Enjoy the last day :)
DAY 8
Departure day
Departure and farewell day!
Transfer to airport, station or place of departure is included in the package.
