What you'll do

Are you looking to spend the Christmas holidays climbing somewhere else with other passionate climbers? If yes, this is the trip for you! 6-days improving your climbing performance, technique and mental game alongside a certified guide. The trip take place in Sella (Spain), one of our all-time favorite sport climbing destinations. There is something special about Sella during the holidays, and this yearly trip gets people returning year after year to enjoy its unique vibes, world-class climbing, and beautiful scenery.This 6-day climbing course is designed for motivated climbers with at least 5 level outdoor leading looking to progress. Expect lots of climbing, intensive one-on-one coaching, and a detailed review of your climbing performance.


Itinerary

Arrive at the designated meeting point for the climbing trip. Introductions and orientation sessions with the guides. Gear check and distribution, ensuring everyone has the necessary equipment and understands how to use it safely. Overview of the week's itinerary and goals. Dinner and rest to prepare for the days ahead.
Morning warm-up and stretching session. Instruction on lead climbing techniques, including clipping, rope management, and communication. Practice lead climbing on single-pitch sport routes with guidance and coaching from instructors. Introduction to cleaning anchors and descending techniques. Review of the day's progress and areas for improvement. Evening relaxation and group dinner.
Morning session focusing on advanced movement skills, footwork, and balance techniques. Practice incorporating specialized climbing techniques like side-stepping, drop knee, and heel hooking. Redpoint and on-sight attempts on routes at or slightly beyond your limit, with personalized coaching to overcome mental barriers. Lunch break and discussion on route strategies and tactics. More climbing in the afternoon to reinforce newly learned techniques. Group dinner and social time to share experiences and insights.
Morning session on perfecting lead belaying techniques and catching falls dynamically. Introduction to using a clipstick and other techniques for pre-clipping the first quickdraw. Practice lead climbing on various routes, focusing on building confidence and mental resilience. Individualized coaching to address specific challenges and goals. Review of progress and feedback from instructors. Evening relaxation and leisure time.
Morning warm-up and review of top-rope setup and belaying techniques. Instruction on setting up top-ropes and managing rope systems safely. Guided top-rope sessions with an emphasis on refining movement skills and climbing efficiency. Personalized coaching to address individual strengths and weaknesses. Lunch break and rest before afternoon climbing sessions. Continued climbing practice with a focus on applying techniques learned throughout the week. Group dinner and camaraderie.
Morning discussion on goal setting and pushing personal limits in climbing. Redpoint attempts to take challenging routes with support and encouragement from instructors. Analysis of climbing performance and strategies for improvement. Optional workshops on mental training and visualization techniques. Lunch break and relaxation. Afternoon session for additional climbing or rest as needed. Celebration dinner to commemorate achievements and progress.
Full-day excursion to a nearby crag for a change of scenery and new climbing challenges. Guided climbing on multi-pitch sport routes, incorporating all skills learned throughout the week. Emphasis on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a new environment. Picnic lunch at the crag with time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Return to basecamp for a farewell dinner and reflection on the week's experiences. Optional evening activities or free time to pack and prepare for departure.
Breakfast and final farewells with fellow climbers and instructors. Check-out and departure from the accommodation around 10-11 AM. Transfer to the designated drop-off point or airport. Reflection on the week's achievements and goals for future climbing endeavours. Safe travels home with newfound skills, confidence, and memories of an unforgettable climbing adventure.

Petra is a passionate climber and skier who guides and instructs in both sports depending on the season. A fluent English and Spanish speaker, she is the perfect person to guide this trip!

Laszlo

Laszlo has been climbing since the age of 16, and instructing for over 10 years! He has experience in a wide range of climbing styles from Alpine mountaineering to big-wall climbing, and a lot of stories to tell of his travels.
