Around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most famous UNESCO sites, located near Cortina d'Ampezzo, are the most classic via ferrata routes in the Dolomites. One of the most exciting and well known is the De Luca - Innerkofler ferrata on Monte Paterno, undeniably one of the best equipped, most suggestive and panoramic routes in the entire Sexten Dolomites group. Join us on this extraordinary route, easily accessible from the busy Auronzo hut, traverses Mount Paterno in all its splendor, while offering an extraordinary panorama of the Cime di Lavaredo!

Let's start the experience!
This extraordinary route is easily accessible from the Auronzo Hut, passing through the Locatelli Hut and crossing Mount Paterno via the equally breathtaking Sentiero Attrezzato delle Forcelle, and finally arriving at the Pian di Cengia Hut.
Although the latter is a longer and more strenuous stretch, potentially avoidable, we strongly recommend tackling it. This section presents a series of truly incomparable and exhilarating landscapes, offering a captivating experience to savour until the adventure's end.
The programme is very flexible to take into account weather conditions, activities level and endurance of the group.

Climbing Skills
This ferrata is of medium difficulty, and we recommend it to trained hikers with experience in via ferratas, a sure-footedness and an absence of vertigo. The route has a length of about 5.4 km, which can be covered in 3-4 hours.
