Spend a whole day climbing in nature, transitioning from indoor climbing to a new level of experience: outdoor climbing! By joining this activity, you will be guided by a Certified IFMGA Mountain Guide during your first steps on real rock, alongside a bunch of other passionate climbers of your same experience level. You won't need anything else but your sense of adventure!

DAY 1
Fundamental Climbing Techniques
Learn essential climbing techniques tailored for outdoor climbing, including balance, footwork, and body positioning. Everything will feel different on real rock!
DAY 2
Route Setting and Cleaning
Learn how to efficiently set up a route on lead, and clean a route, allowing for a seamless climbing experience.
DAY 3
Belaying Techniques
Understand how to use belay devices and belay your partner efficiently to ensure safety and control.
DAY 4
Safety Measures at the Crag
Gain a thorough understanding of safety protocols specific to outdoor climbing environments. This includes proper use of equipment, communication, and emergency procedures.
DAY 5
Crag Selection and Evaluation
Discover how to identify suitable crags for your skill level and preferences. Understand factors like accessibility, route difficulty, and local regulations.
The programme is very flexible to take into account weather conditions, activities level and endurance of the group.

Climbing Skills
This clinic requires previous climbing experience since you will learn how to progress on multi-pitch routes. If you regularly climb indoors or have already experienced outdoor climbing but are interested in exploring another discipline like multi-pitch climbing, this course is for you! Finale Ligure boasts crags of all levels, and the instructor is a Certified IFMGA Mountain Guide.

Ultimately, you are fully responsible for the choices you make. Mapo Tapo recommends that anyone who does not have sufficient knowledge and skills not go outdoors alone.

What level do I need to be climbing at to join this trip?
No minimum level is required for this activity since Finale Ligure boasts crags of all levels and the instructor is an IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide. This is an introductory course to outdoor sport-climbing, so previous indoor climbing experience is appreciated!
What group size can I expect for this trip?
The maximum group size for this trip is 6, so expect to get lots of climbing in and some 1-on-1 time with your guide. If we exceed the maximum number of participants, we will be joined by another IFMGA Certified Local Mountain Guide.
