A 5-day course developing the skills you need to climb multi-pitch traditional routes safely.
VIEW DATESDo you want to open up a whole new world of climbing? Do you want to confidently tackle multi-pitch routes regardless of whether they’re bolted or not? If yes, then this is the trip for you. During this course you’ll spend 5 days in the mountains of Northern Italy learning all the skills needed to safely complete multi-pitch climbs, trad style. After a brief orientation where you’ll learn all about trad equipment and safety, you’ll head out for two full days at the crag practicing gear placements and anchor building. Once you’ve mastered these skills, it’s time to test them on some real trad multi-pitches - under the watchful eye of a guide, of course! Depending on which dates you book, you'll either be climbing in the iconic Dolomites or the beautiful Valle del Sarca, in the province of Trento.

The Dolomites or Valle del Sarca
On one side are the Dolomites, the beautiful mountain range located south of the Italian-Austria border, known for its beautiful limestone peaks. While many climbers continue to be attracted by the area's iconic big-wall routes, you can find all styles of climbing here - from via Ferrata to punchy sport routes, and many shorter multi-pitches perfect for learning. Despite the area's popularity, it is still possible to find solitude. All you need is the knowledge of a local guide.
More South, and North of Lake Garda, Valle del Sarca is today best known for the sport climbing around the town of Arco. However, this vertical playground boasts thousands of climbs of all lengths and styles on beautiful limestone rock. You’ll find some long Dolomite-style multi-pitch routes on the walls of Monte Casale, Picco Dain, and Monte Brento which are great for learning and make for a fantastic day out.
