What you'll do

One week fully immersed in the beauty of Sardinia. Depending on which date you join, you will be climbing either on the South-West coast (Iglesias, Domusnovas and Buggerru area) or in the stunning Cala Gonone area, on the Eastern Coast: these are two of the best areas Sardinia has to offer during the winter season! The whole trip will be guided by a local certified alpine guide, with whom you will discover the most hidden gems of the island.

Itinerary

On the first day, you will meet your local guide and fellow climbers at the airport of Cagliari. We recommend arriving before 12 PM so that you can enjoy the climb in the afternoon. From the airporto you will move to Domusnovas, where a half day of climbing in the outstanding crag Arrampicatorio awaits you. In the evening you will go back to your B&B and have dinner together!
After an energizing breakfast, off to Masua crag, where you will spend the day hanging on rocks with the support of your local guide. After climbing, jump in the water of one of the nice beaches nearby.
Today, you will climb in the beautiful Domusnovas, where slab is queen! In the evening, follow your local guide to Chinatown, where you will have dinner.
Today your local guide will drive you to Punta Pilocca, one of the most well-known crags of Sardinia, in the inland part of the island. On your way back you will visit Antas Temple, before heading back to your B&B.
It is your last day in Sardinia, and you want to make the most out of it! In the morning you will have a quick climb in Castilandia, near your B&B. Unfortunately, it is already time to go back home, and your local guide will transfer you to the airport! We reccomend depart after 4 PM to enjoy the last climbing!

Well organised, led and catered climbing trip. Marco had excellent knowledge of the area and was able to make each day feel fresh and interesting while having appropriate challenges for the whole group, not easy!

We just got back from our 5 day climbing trip in Sardinia and it surpassed all expectations. Marco was our guide and he and his wife Tiziana hosted us in their BnB. I could not believe how beautiful the views were from our room - it was like being in a 5 star resort. The house was comfortable, breakfasts were great, and Marco and Tizia were both so welcoming. Marco is so incredibly pleasant to be around and such a great climber and motivator. As the weakest climber in the group, he was incredibly patient and always made sure to put up routes that I would feel confident climbing (even leading!). The only suggestion I have for MapoTapo is to provide transfers to/from the airport the day before or after the trip begins. We were very surprised to find that unless we arrived/left on the day the trip began and ended, the transfer was not included. Travelling from the US, it would extremely difficult to make that happen as there are no direct flights to Cagliari. Otherwise, I think that should be explained in the description of the trip and what is included. We didn't realize until the night before we were flying in that we needed to arrange for transportation from the airport (although again, Marco and Tiziana came through for us and helped work that out).

Recently returned from a glorious climbing week in Sardinia! The climbing is epic, hands down. Marco knows the area, knows the routes; is incredibly safe, knowledgeable and fun! He loves to sing and fully enjoy himself while doing what he loves and showing off his home. We stayed with his wife Tiziana in their beautiful BNB staring over the greenery, looking out to the sea. Fresh breakfast each morning with that view and personable service! This was my first MapoTapo trip- I appreciated the communication leading up to the trip and during. Highly recommend Marco for climbing and their BNB in Nebida! Cannot say enough good about them both. Grazie mille!!!!
