Jany

Jany is a ski and rock climbing guide from the Czech Republic, and founder of Rockbusters and Snowbusters. He has been teaching skiing for over 20 years and spends most of his winters in search of demanding off-piste ski lines.

Adam

Adam

Born in a city but destined for the mountains, Adam has been skiing since a young age - first dabbling in ski racing before finding his passions in ski-touring and freeride. In addition to being a highly qualified mountain guide he's also a trained photographer, so get ready for some awesome action shots!

Pablo

Pablo

Pablo has climbed and skied in many European countries, including Italy, Austria, France, the UK, and Slovenia. He’s climbed big mountains in the Alps, such as Cervino, Aiguille Verte, and Aiguille de Argentiere, including many mixed and multi-pitch routes. As well as this, Pablo has climbed trad and multi-pitch routes in the Dolomites and Picos de Europa, on routes like Comici en la Cima Grande de Lavaredo and some on the east face of the Naranjo de Bulnes.

A week of ski-touring in the magical Sonmøre Alps means deep and fresh winter snow. That said, adventuring in the mountains means conditions and weather are unpredictable. That's why we will pick up specific itineraries on the go, considering your preferences and the Guides' advice and experience.

Arrive and settle in

Welcome to Sunmøre Alps! On the first day, you'll meet your guides, who will brief you and the rest of the group on the snow conditions, weather forecasts, gear, and itineraries.

Starting easy...

Depending on the group's skills, we will get a few days to build confidence on this deep, fantastic snow and slopes. We will embark on easier itineraries, leaving the best for the upcoming days. We'll get the chance to know ourselves, spend time together, and enjoy the area and its most popular routes.

Once the group is ready to go all-in, our Guides will unleash their eagerness of adventure, and you'll be there, right behind them!

Plan the best routes according to snow conditions and weather forecast alongside your Guide and the rest of the group. Ride deep and get the most out of it!

Time to get back to routine!

It's, unfortunately, time to head home. Pack your bags and say goodbye to your fellow Mapo Tapo travelers. Hopefully, we'll see you again soon on one of our summer climbing trips!

The programme is very flexible to take into account weather conditions, activities level and endurance of the group.

To make the most of this ski-touring trip, you'll need to be a relatively strong skier (able to ski down red slopes easily) with prior experience skiing off-piste. Moderate fitness is required to manage an estimated route time of about 4-6 hours.

Mapo Tapo selects locations and mountain guides with the utmost care. We can for any inaccuracies, however, accept no liability. Ski-touring is a risky sport that takes place in nature. Ultimately, you are fully responsible for the choices you make. Mapo Tapo recommends that anyone who does not have sufficient knowledge to go outdoors accompanied by a certified mountain guide.
