The Tenerife Climbing House is a hostel, climbing school, climber’s hangout, climbing shop and climbing gear rental all in one!
Local climbers Elena and Erik designed Tenerife Climbing House for people just like them: climbers who are crazy about the sport and passionate about the outdoors. TCH is a place where you can learn about the best climbing spots in the island, meet lots of other climbers, hang out in the huge garden and get a good night’s sleep in one of the rooms.
Thanks to its location in Villa de Arico, TCH is just minutes away from many of the best climbing spots in Tenerife. The village acts as a meeting point for local and international climbers and has all the amenities you need, including being just 7km away from the beach!

Elena Martínez
Elena is the co-founder of Tenerife Climbing House and the person who keeps it all moving behind the scenes. She designed the house and all of its hand-made furniture herself and is the person who you’ll find running the back office - when she’s not off climbing, of course!
Elena was born and raised in Tenerife, and therefore is the person to go to for advice about the island. She can tell you where to go on your rest days, which beaches to visit and where to eat the best fresh fish! Alongside Erik, she co-authored the sport climbing guidebook “Escalada en Tenerife” (2nd edition May 2022).
