Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Sunnmøre Alps, Norway!

We begin our journey in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps. After arriving at Oslo Airport, we’ll gather as a group and pick up our motorhomes. These will be our weekly mobile base camps, offering flexibility to chase the best snow. We head towards our first campsite, nestled in a quiet valley with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Tonight, we settle in, go over the itinerary, and prepare our gear for the days ahead.

Day 2 - Ski Touring at Mt. Slogen

Our first full day of skiing begins with a challenging ascent of Mt. Slogen, one of the most iconic peaks in Sunnmøre. This route takes us through steep slopes and offers rewarding views of the surrounding mountains and fjords. After a hard climb, the descent promises untouched powder and exhilarating turns. We return to our motorhomes for a hot meal and rest under the northern sky. The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Day 3 - Exploring Hjørundfjorden fjords

Today, we head to Hjørundfjorden, where the fjords meet the mountains in a stunning display of natural beauty. The terrain here offers a mix of open slopes and tree runs, perfect for both novice and experienced ski tourers. We’ll practice essential skills like avalanche safety and group dynamics in avalanche zones. The evening is spent relaxing and reviewing the day’s adventures over a warm meal.The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Day 4 - Freeride Skiing in Stranda

Stranda is known for its excellent off-piste skiing opportunities; today, we’ll take full advantage of that. Depending on the weather and snow conditions, we’ll select the best routes to explore. This area offers a variety of terrains, from gentle slopes to more challenging descents. In the evening, we drive to our next campsite, closer to the next day’s objective.The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Day 5 - Ski Touring on Romsdalseggen Ridge

Today’s adventure takes us to the Romsdalseggen Ridge, where we’ll experience breathtaking views of the Romsdalen Valley. This route is a favourite among ski tourers for its steep sections and challenging navigation. We’ll focus on improving our big mountain riding safety skills and descent line selection. After a day of thrilling descents, we return to our motorhomes for a well-deserved rest.The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Day 6 - Ski Touring on Trollstigen Road

We drive along the famous Trollstigen road, a gateway to numerous ski touring routes. Today, we’ll choose a route that matches the group’s skill level and the day’s conditions. Trollstigen offers everything from gentle slopes to challenging couloirs, ensuring an exciting day of skiing. We end the day with a final group dinner, sharing stories and highlights from the week. The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Day 7 - Departure day, time to say goodbye!

On our final day, we pack up our gear and enjoy a relaxed morning in the mountains before making our way back to Ålesund. After returning the motorhomes, it’s time to say goodbye to the Sunnmøre Alps and head home, taking with us unforgettable memories and improved skiing skills.The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the group.

Jany

Jany is a skiing and rock-climbing guide hailing from the Czech Republic. He’s been teaching skiing since 2000 and for years he’s dedicated his life to these two pursuits, and it shows in the high levels of skill he’s attained at both.

Adam

Adam was born in a city but was destined for the mountains. At an early age, he began seizing every opportunity to explore nature — in particular his native Czech mountain. Adam takes the mountain seriously and has developed his mountaineering skills and intimate knowledge of this terrain, making him a well-equipped ski and ski touring instructor.
