What you'll do

Discover the Adamello-Brenta Dolomites with our ski-touring adventure. This area is perfect for all levels, offering gentle off-piste slopes and challenging peaks. Experience skiing in untouched powder and explore stunning valleys and summits, including the Adamello Glacier, the largest in the Italian Alps. This trip provides tranquillity and open spaces, ideal for confident piste skiers and beginner to intermediate off-piste skiers. The satisfaction of reaching a mountain summit or col after an uphill climb and then skiing down off-piste. Join us for an unforgettable ski touring experience.

Itinerary

We will have a welcome dinner in our guest house in Ponte di Legno to get to know each other and plan for the next few days. If possible, we recommend arriving by 6 pm in Ponte di Legno.
Our daily routine starts with breakfast at 8 am, and we will be ready to leave the house at 8:45 am. A 10-minute walk gets us to the lift station in Ponte di Legno. We will use the lift system to access the best off-piste and ski-touring terrain. Today, we will start with some skiing on the piste to get to know you and see how you ski. Then, we will continue with some easy off-piste skiing, teaching you the right technique according to the snow conditions. During one of the off-piste runs, we will stop and start with some basic avalanche awareness training.
We shall choose some new off-piste itineraries using the lift system, still working on your off-piste technique. During the day, we will teach you how to use your skins and how to climb uphill.
We are all ready for a full-day ski tour! We take the lifts to 3000 meters above sea level and start our trip by skiing off-piste with a great view of the Adamello Glacier down to Rifugio Mandrone (2500m). After a great descent, we put our skins on and climb 400 meters (about 2 hours) to the Passo Pisgana. From here, we descend for 10km on the Pisganino itinerary, a stunning 1800-meter descent.
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye! Departure time is before 10 am. Hope to see you again soon!

Accomodations

Chalet Olsen

The Chalet Olsen is a historical building dating back to the thirties, made of granite and renovated in 2013. We are 5 minutes walk from the town centre and 10 minutes walk from the lift system. 2 bedrooms (double and triple) with shared bathroom and 1 bedroom (double) with private bathroom, open space living room/kitchen, great mountain views. Private parking, wifi, garden, wooden floors and ceilings (larch and spruce), washing machine, boot warmer.

Cain is an IFMGA mountain guide of Norwegian origin, born in England, raised in Italy and has spent the last 30 years climbing and skiing in the Alps. With 20 years of guiding experience and a degree in sports science, he has matured an inclination for coaching and mental training. He developed greater self-awareness through yoga, meditation and nutrition, and now he can share this journey with you, integrating physical preparation, correct posture, technical training and risk management in the mountains. He loves teaching and guiding his clients on personal trips towards psycho-physical enrichment.
