What you'll do

This is the thrilling 3-day Mount Olympus trek. Traverse dense forests, reach above the tree line for stunning views, and summit the mountain of the gods. Experience challenging scrambles with expert guides, cozy refuge stays, and witness breathtaking sunrises. Return enriched with the spirit of Greek mythology and the accomplishment of conquering Greece's highest summit. No prior mountaineering experience is required.

Itinerary

Our adventure starts at the heart of Litochoro, where we gather at the Marine Museum's Central Entrance, at 2 pm. Together, we'll drive to Prionia, the gateway to our trek. The initial hike through dense forest gradually reveals the awe-inspiring landscapes of Mount Olympus, the abode of the gods. By afternoon, we'll reach Spilios Agapitos Refuge, our cozy retreat for the night, where a warm meal awaits.
Greeted by the dawn, we embark on our climb to Mytikas, the highest summit of Mount Olympus, after fortifying ourselves with breakfast at the refuge. Tackling some challenging scrambles under the watchful guidance of our expert, safety gear in hand, we reach the pinnacle. Here, we bask in the glory of the gods' view before descending to Musses Plateau, where our evening's restful haven lies.
With the daybreak's first light, we witness a breathtaking sunrise, weather permitting. Our descent takes us along the Gortsia trail, on the northeastern flank of the mountain, leading back to civilization. The journey concludes with a return drive to Litochoro, where we reflect on our shared conquest of the gods' mountain.
