Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival and Briefing

The meeting point for the first day will be the city of L'Aquila at 6 PM, then we will go by car to Prati di Tivo where our adventure will begin! Enjoy a spectacular view of the north side of Gran Sasso. In the evening, we'll have dinner and a briefing about the plans for the next two days. It’s best to arrive by 7 PM at Prati di Tivo to settle in and get ready for the adventure.

Day 2 - Via Ferrata Danesi on Corno Piccolo

We aim to reach the top of Corno Piccolo (2655m). Starting from Prati di Tivo, we take a cable car up to 2000m, then cross Valle delle Cornacchie to Rifugio Franchetti. From there, we continue to Sella dei Due Corni, a magical place with stunning views. We descend briefly to start Via Ferrata Danesi, which leads us to the summit. We descend using Via Normale and, if time allows, return via the Ventricini trail.

Day 3 - Via Ferrata Ricci on Corno Grande

Today, we explore the more complex environment of Corno Grande. Following a similar schedule as Day 2, we reach Rifugio Franchetti. From here, we take Via Ferrata Ricci up to 2700m, then follow a complex trail to the summit of Corno Grande Vetta Orientale (2903m). At the top, we enjoy breathtaking views of the Corno Grande peaks and the remnants of Calderone Glacier. We descend via a complex trail to the glacier's edge, return to Sella dei Due Corni, and then back through Valle delle Cornacchie. The trip ends back at Prati di Tivo. Time to say goodbye!
