What you'll do

Are you looking to improve your sport climbing performance, technique, and mindset, and push through to the next grade? If yes, this is the trip for you!Our 8-day Performance Coaching trips take place in Rodellar (Spain). Considered among the world's best sport climbing destinations, these areas offer something for both those looking for a laid-back climbing holiday and pro athletes alike.This 8-days performance course is designed for motivated climbers with at least 6b/c level looking to progress. Rockbusters' best professional coaches and guides (including professional climber Klemen Bečan!) will be there to help you send your hardest projects. Expect lots of climbing, intensive one-on-one coaching, and a detailed review of your climbing performance.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival

Welcome to the first day of your climbing adventure. As you settle into your new surroundings, we'll gather for an informal introduction and share an overview of what the exciting week ahead holds for us. It's an evening to relax, get to know your fellow climbers, and discuss the gear and safety protocols that will ensure an optimal climbing experience. We recommend arrive around 4 PM.

Day 2 - Equipment and safety fundamentals

The morning sun greets us as we delve into selecting the perfect climbing gear, followed by an afternoon of mastering dynamic belaying and the nuances of pre-clipping. This foundational knowledge is essential for a safe and enjoyable climb.

Day 3 - Communication and movement skills

Today, we hone our communication skills to ensure clear messages between climbing partners. The afternoon brings a shift to movement, where we'll practice climbing more efficiently on various terrains, conserving our strength and enhancing our flow on the rock.

Day 4 - Risk management and lead climbing

Understanding and managing risks in the great outdoors is our morning focus, an essential skill for any climber. In the afternoon, we'll take our climbing to new heights with lead climbing techniques, learning the art of efficient clipping and anchor cleaning.

Day 5 - Technique enhancement on varied terrain

As the morning light warms the rock, we'll fine-tune our slab and vertical climbing techniques. Later, we'll tackle overhangs, where you'll learn how to conserve energy and use advanced footwork to climb smarter, not harder.

Day 6 - Advanced climbing strategies

The thrill of climbing is in the challenge, and today we explore advanced techniques for on-sight, flash, and red-point climbing. Personalized coaching will also help you push past mental barriers and boost your climbing prowess.

Day 7 - Consolidation and mastery

With newfound techniques in your arsenal, you'll spend the day applying them under the watchful eyes of your coaches. Today is about cementing these skills, ensuring you leave with a solid understanding and confidence in your climbing abilities.

Day 8 - Departure

Our final day is one of reflection and farewells. We'll share stories of our triumphs on the rock before parting ways, each of us heading home enriched by the skills and memories of an unforgettable week. We recommend leaving around 10-11 AM.

Camping Mascun

Mascún Campsite is located in the heart of Natural Park of Sierra y Cañones de Guara, a stunning rock climbing destination. The camping is a little village full of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts that are eager for new adventures. It is the perfect basecamp for your climbing and outdoor experience.

Jany

Jany is a solid 8a+ climber who started Rockbusters. Although his a master's degree in Social Politics and Social Work, he couldn’t resist the call of the mountains and became a climbing instructor.

Klemen

Klemen is a former competition champion that on-sights 8c sport-climbing routes. He doesn't like spending too much time working the lines, even though he topped quite a few 9a+.
