What you'll do

The Lake District region in southern Chile offers a stunning winter landscape. Snow-covered volcanoes, dense forests, and thermal springs provide a perfect setting for outdoor adventures and relaxation. Enjoy resort skiing and also ski touring in the famous Corralco Resort, located on the slopes of Lonquimay Volcano, and, further south, enjoy the Villarrica Ski Resort that provides exciting downhill skiing. For those seeking a challenge, climbing the snow-covered Villarrica Volcano is an exhilarating adventure, rewarding climbers with expansive views of the wintry landscape and nearby lakes.

Itinerary

Arrive at Temuco Airport (12 PM) and transfer to your accommodation in Malalcahuello (about a 2.5-hour scenic drive). Take time to settle in and relax after the journey. In the evening, enjoy a cozy dinner and get ready for the skiing adventures to come.
Begin your day skiing at Corralco Ski Center on the slopes of Lonquimay Volcano, which offers a variety of runs for all skill levels. End the day with an optional visit to a local bar in Malalcahuello to sample regional craft beer.
Explore the beautiful forests of Lonquimay National Park and admire the ancient Araucaria trees. For relaxation, visit the Cañón del Blanco Hot Springs, nestled at the base of Sierra Nevada Volcano. Alternatively, enjoy a second day of skiing at Corralco.
For a unique experience, consider a guided ascent to the volcano’s crater for panoramic views of the Araucanía region, or join a snowshoe hike through the Araucaria forest. In the evening, transfer from Corralco to Pucón (approximately a 2-hour drive).
Spend the day skiing at Pillán Resort on Villarrica Volcano, known for its varied terrain and stunning views. After skiing, relax in one of the region’s natural hot springs.
Enjoy another full day skiing at Pillán Resort, taking in the incredible volcanic landscapes. In the evening, explore the vibrant atmosphere of Pucón and celebrate with a traditional barbecue dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport or continue with your onward journey.
