Itinerary

We greet you at Kathmandu's Tribhuwan International Airport, ensuring a smooth transfer to your hotel. We recommend arriving until 4 PM. The capital's cultural heart, Thamel, awaits exploration with its myriad of shops and eateries. Tonight, we relish Nepali flavours at a local restaurant, with a trip briefing setting the stage for our adventure.
Our journey to the Everest region begins with a scenic drive through the hills and valleys of Kathmandu Valley to Manthali. Rest in this peaceful town, soaking up the anticipation of the ascent ahead.
An exhilarating flight to Lukla provides stunning aerial views of the Himalayas. From here, we trek to Phakding, passing through the bustling Lukla village and along the serene Dudh Kosi River. The day is capped off with a stay in a cozy lodge in Phakding.
Crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge, we are rewarded with our first glimpse of Mt. Thamserku. The trek to Namche Bazaar is filled with natural beauty, culminating in an overnight stay in this vibrant Sherpa capital, brimming with shops and cafes.
Utilizing this day for acclimatization, we hike to vantage points offering sweeping views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Visiting local landmarks like the Hillary School, we delve into Sherpa culture before returning to our lodge in Namche.
Ascending through forests and valleys, we reach the sacred site of Tengboche Monastery, set against the backdrop of Everest. Participate in local rituals and spend the night enveloped by the tranquility of this spiritual location.
Journeying past Pangboche, home to the famous Yeti scalp, we experience Sherpa lifestyle firsthand. The evening finds us in Dingboche, offering stark views of Lhotse and Ama Dablam as we rest in this picturesque village.
Another day to acclimate includes optional hikes to surrounding peaks or simply resting amidst the breathtaking scenery, the panoramic vistas of distinguished peaks, including Ama Dablam and Makalu, set amidst a landscape adorned with serene lakes and glistening glaciers. Overnight in Dingboche prepares us for the upcoming climbs.
Navigating icy torrents, we trek to the remote hamlet of Lobuche. Surrounded by a stunning frozen expanse, the proximity to our ultimate peak fuels us with excitement.
The trek to Everest Base Camp is momentous. The Sirdar's primary responsibility is to ensure our secure passage through the intricate terrain of the Khumbu Glacier, allowing us to stand in awe of the formidable Khumbu Icefall and the majestic South Face of Everest. Our ascent continues to Gorakshep, from where we trek to the Everest Base Camp. The return to Gorakshep offers a chance to reflect on the day's profound achievements.
Ascending to Kala Patthar early, we witness one of Nepal's most extraordinary panoramas before descending back to Lobuche, completing a roundtrip journey spanning six hours. There, a comfortable accommodation awaits.
Our path to Lobuche Base Camp offers a moderate ascent in a five-hour trek. The initial leg of the journey traverses flat terrain, while the latter half presents a challenging ascent. This segment of the path is notably rocky and skirts along the bank of the Lobouche Glacier, providing impressive views of the surrounding Himalayan giants. Over the next two days, our accommodation will be provided in well-appointed tented camps, complemented by culinary delights prepared by our skilled professional chef. Our evening is spent in the comfort of tented camps under the stars.
We rise early for the Lobuche Peak ascent, an exhilarating full-day climb (approximately ten hours) culminating in panoramic views from the summit. The return to base camp allows us to bask in the satisfaction of our achievement.
This reserved day acts as a buffer to ensure the best summit attempt, considering weather and health conditions, emphasizing our commitment to a safe and successful climb.
Descending through the mountains, we reach Pangboche in approximately six hours, where we unwind in the comfort of a local lodge, reminiscing about our experiences.
Our return trek to Namche Bazaar takes us through Tengboche Monastery, with the evening spent in the warm embrace of this Sherpa hub.
We make our final descent to Lukla, passing through rhododendron forests and Sherpa villages, ending our trek with a celebration of our collective journey.
A return flight to Manthali and a scenic drive back to Kathmandu mark the final day of our journey. We celebrate the successful completion of our trek with a farewell dinner in Kathmandu. You can depart after the dinner or the next day.
