Sardinia, Italy
Sardinia is the place where sea and rocks find a new dimension and merge into one
Sardinia is the place where sea and rocks find a new dimension and merge into one, creating a unique set of colors, sceneries and emotions. Climbing here is a recent discovery of the ‘80s, but it continuously developed in the past 4 decades and now the island counts more than 4000 single pitches. Limestone is the king in the island, but you will also find some granite jewels and the climbing styles range from friction slab to steep overhangs. The island has something for all rock climbers, you only need some local help to get the best out of it!

More Info
Climbing Skills
No minimum climbing level is required, as Marco is a full certified mountain guide. What is needed is an adventurous attitude and thirst for exploration! You will find grades ranging from 5+ to 8a and all the crags will be selected depending on the level and the preferences of the group. The best thing about climbing with the locals is that you can decide last minute depending on the weather and wind conditions to always get the best out of the day!

Liability
Mapo Tapo selects crags and local partners with the utmost care. We can for any inaccuracies, however, accept no liability. Rock climbing is a risk sport that takes place in nature. Ultimately, you are fully responsible for the choices you make. Mapo Tapo recommends that anyone who does not have sufficient knowledge not to go outdoor alone.

Travel
Please DO NOT book your flights BEFORE the trip is confirmed. Most of our trips need a minimum number of participants to run, so to avoid disappointment wait for a confirmation email before booking any non-refundable transport.

FAQs
What climbing level do I need to be for this trip?
No minimum level is required as a certified guide will be present at all times. However, to get the most of the trip it's recommended that you can top-rope 5+.
How many people can book this trip?
The minimum number of bookings for the trip to run is 3, and maximum 6.
How will I get to the crags/ accommodation.
If there are 4 people or less, the guide will take you in his car. If we get more than 4 bookings then an additional rental car will be required - but we can help you organise this.
Why are there 3 different trip destinations shown?
Depending on the season, certain areas in Sardinia have more favourable conditions for climbing than others. For this reason, our trip runs in different locations throughout the year - but the programme remains largely the same.
In which airport do you need to land?
The guide will pick you up at Cagliari Airport.
