To most people, Mallorca is famous for its ravishing beaches, azure views, rugged mountains, and cozy hill towns. But for us climbers, this sunny Spanish island means only one thing: PSICOBLOC (aka deep water solo)! Climbing without a rope on cliffs right over the sea: and if you fall, a nice splash and you try again.
Once you book, your trip is guaranteed to run, allowing you to book your flights with confidence.

Great experience! Sóller is a cute base camp located in the sierra tramuntana. The hostel is enjoyable and well organized, and bathrooms are clean. Maybe the room we were located was a little bit overcrowded (14 beds). Most important, the Rock&water Mallorca is a group of passionate, friendly and helpful guide! Love PSYCOBLOC!!
A very nice and densely packed climbing trip - also the perfect introduction to Deep Water Solo! - the Rock&Water guys are amazing and can take you to beautiful crags that are fairly untouched. Perks of the local guides. The Hostel Soller is a very nice place to crash after a long day of climbing. Some minor remarks, which could improve the experience even further - experience as it was is still a 5 star for me though!: - it's 3 days of DWS without any rest day, that's a bit taxing = I think 2 days climbing, 1 rest day, 1-2 days climbing would enhance the experience more. This way you're not that cooked on your last day climbing - if you do the trip in July/August then expect 35 deg celsius in the shadow and many crags don't have much shadow at all, so it will be extra taxing climbing in this heat and the conditions on the rock may not ideal (=you can fry some eggs on that rock^^) - generally the trip is very condensed to 3 days of effective climbing and a lot of it will be dictated by how the weather and the sea is those days, so just keep that in mind! - another mild inconvenience is that Soller is on the westcoast and most cool DWS crags are on the eastcoast, so you drive like 1.5h across the whole island). The westcoast has some cool and very wild and raw cliffs for DWS too, but only accessible by boat
My climbing trip to Mallorca with Mapo Tapo was incredible! Everything was so well organized, from the travel logistics to the climbing spots we explored. The guides were super knowledgeable and made every session both fun and challenging, no matter your level. What really stood out was the sense of community, by the end of the trip, it felt like traveling with close friends. Mallorca’s cliffs and crystal-clear water were absolutely breathtaking. Can’t recommend Mapo Tapo enough for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable climbing experience!
This was our second Mapo Trip after having a wonderful experience on the Croatia Sailing and Climbing trip last year. My husband and I decided to go on this trip as we are frequent outdoor climbers and love DWSing. For this trip 2 of the days are DWSing accessible by foot and 1/2 day will be by boat. Although the DWS by food days were only for the people joining the Mapo Tapo trip, this was not the case for the DWS by boat “day”. The other thing to mention is that the boat “day” is only 4 hours total. The DWS by foot days started early and lasted a full day. Our guide for the DWS days by foot was Eva and she was an awesome guide! As mentioned the DWS days by foot was a private tour only for the people who were part of the Mapo Tapo trip. Honestly this is the best way to run a tour like this because, as you will have people joining from different levels (including some who have never done DWS before) it allows for everyone to start nice and easy on the first day and then go to taller and harder locations as they choose. The locations that Eva took us to were awesome spots with plenty of climbs at all levels, which made the sessions fun for everyone! Unfortunately our last day, the DWS by boat day, was disappointing, especially when compared to the previous 2 days. We were told that we would be picked up at 2pm for this day, and when we arrived at Port de Soller we found out that this tour would only last 4 hours and that other people would be joining this tour as “we had not paid for either a full day or a private tour”. Those that joined were new to DWS, and we were taken to much less interesting terrain. Our guide for this day, Pio, had a tendency to beta spray (quite loudly) And the climbs we were take to were much shorter than any of the previous days. I was disappointed as Pio said we would be unable to go to the one climb I was looking forward to checking out this trip as the climb was “too hard” (6c) insinuating that I would be unable to climb it. This was said prior to him seeing me climb or knowing what range I typically climb. Once you are done climbing you will return to Soller and have plenty of time to explore this cool town on your own or with the fun people you spent the day with. Enjoy strolling around the beautiful and quiet streets, and going to one of the several restaurants and bars for dinner and drinks (make sure to make reservations in advance as the restaurants get full). As for the accommodations, the hostel was fine, nice quaint place well located in Soller. The employees were very friendly. You will get a towels and sheets, and there is soap in the bathrooms, bring your own toiletries. They provide you with some ear plugs in case you’re a light sleeper. We opted to pay a bit extra for a private room and were happy we did so for the extra privacy. The breakfast was limited but tasty and sufficient for the full day, you also have fridge space and can use the kitchen in case you want to make your own meal. Would I recommend this tour? It depends. If you already climb outdoors, are an avid climber, and/or have already DWS before, I would recommend avoid this trip as you might not get as much out of it. If you are a beginner climber and/or have never climbed outdoors before, this tour might be great for you. We got to enjoy climbing in beautiful locations and spent the day with an awesome group of people we now get the chance to call our friends.
