Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Elba - A Gateway to Unforgettable Trails

Begin your trekking journey in the charming Porto Azzurro. Our introductory briefing sets the stage for your adventure. Wander the vibrant streets at your leisure, diving into the local culture. The evening is free for you to enjoy a meal in one of the quaint local eateries.

Day 2 - From Cavo to Porto Azzurro - Embark on the Great Elbana Crossing

Embark on a 20 km hike from Cavo, marking the start of your adventure. With a 900 m climb, this route challenges and rewards. We ease your journey with a van transfer to Cavo and lighten your load with a backpack offloading service, ensuring you're free to fully embrace the breathtaking landscapes back to Porto Azzurro.

Day 3 - Porto Azzurro to Portoferraio

The journey continues with a serene 15 km trek leading you to Portoferraio through captivating cork groves and pleasant dirt roads. Unveil the historical essence of Portoferraio, followed by relaxation by the azure sea, blending cultural discovery with natural wonder.

Day 4 - Portoferraio to Procchio

Today's 10 km hike is a gentle meander through scenic trails and inviting beaches, concluding in the picturesque Procchio. Dive into tranquility with swims in secluded coves, letting the Tuscan sun and the serene trails lead you to relaxation.

Day 5 - Procchio to Pomonte

The highlight awaits with a 16 km trek from the peak of Monte Capanne to Pomonte. Revel in unparalleled views and unique trails, descending into the heart of Elba's natural beauty, a testament to why this is considered the best hiking trip in Tuscany.

Day 6 - The Mineral Heritage of Rio Marina

Before we part ways, explore Elba's rich mining heritage at the Rio Marina Mining Park. Reflect on your journey as we assist with transfers to Portoferraio port, carrying forward memories of an unforgettable Tuscany hiking trip.

Location close to the sea and in the centre of Porto Azzurro, within a few steps you can dive into the sea or enter the pretty village. We will spend two nights here so that we can start the first day with lighter backpacks!

The north coast of Elba is a succession of breathtaking beaches, from Le Ghiaie to Capo Bianco, from Sansone to Prunini and Enfola. Hotel Villa Ombrosa is located on the enchanting beach of Le Ghiaie. The beautiful Hotel will host you for the third night of the trip.

Hotel 10 Colori - 4th night

The hotel is named after the colours that characterise the Island of Elba! Just 80 metres from the long sandy beach and in the centre of the small tourist centre of Procchio. You will spent here the fourth night in the island.

Hotel l'Ogliera - 5th night

Hotel l'Ogliera is located in Pomonte, in the western part of the Island of Elba, a characteristic place on the Costa del Sole. The village lies directly by the sea, in the widest valley of the island dominated by Monte Capanne. The area is particularly quiet and characterised by cliffs and various beaches.You will spend the last night of the trip here, relaxing and chatting with all the others in the group!
