Itinerary

Welcome to Jordan! Begin your adventure as you land in Amman, the vibrant capital of Jordan. Our friendly team will greet you at the airport; just look for the sign with your name. We'll assist you with visa formalities and transfer you to your accommodation. I recommend arriving around 2 PM. Unwind tonight with a traditional Jordanian dinner at your hotel.
After breakfast, set off for "Little Petra," a charming precursor to the grand Petra, located just 9 km north. Although smaller, it sets the stage for today's hiking in Jordan. Start on the trails leading to Petra, stopping at Beidha—a Neolithic village showcasing human history over 10,000 years. Traverse lesser-known paths offering expansive views of the desert landscapes. Conclude your hike at Petra's Monastery, El Deir, before exploring the ancient city's royal tombs and the iconic Treasury. Enjoy dinner and a restful night back in Petra. Transport: 4 hours / 320 km
Awake early to the mesmerizing sunrise over Petra. Post breakfast, your journey continues to the Wadi Sabra, exploring its canyons rich in natural and human history. Amidst this stunning backdrop, enjoy a picnic lunch, then hike past ancient rock-carved tombs and a secluded theater. Tonight, experience camping under the stars in a traditional Bedouin bivouac. Hike: 7 hours / 24 km
Rise at dawn to greet the sunrise over the desert's vast beauty. Today and the next, explore the Rainbow Valley's colourful canyons and geological formations. Enjoy picnic lunches in serene spots and sleep under the open sky at our Bedouin camp. Hike: 6 hours / 15 km
Today, we will continue to hike in the Rainbow Valley, including "Abou Aroug," "Wadi Mcheza," and "Kseba," witnessing nature's artistry in limestone and basalt sculptures. Enjoy another night under the stars! Hike: 6 hours / 15 km
Embark on a trek through the dramatic landscapes of Wadi Rockiya toward the famed Wadi Rum. Known as 'The Valley of the Moon', this area offers spectacular desert vistas, perfect for exploring and photography. Settle down for a picnic lunch surrounded by towering dunes and continue to our campsite under Wadi Rum's starlit sky. Hike: 7 hours / 13 km
Relish your last morning in Wadi Rum’s red desert. Discover ancient petroglyphs and archaeological sites that narrate stories of millennia. After a final picnic, drive to Madaba for your last evening in Jordan, depending on your flight schedule. Transport: 4h20 / 330 km
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, filled with unforgettable memories of hiking in Jordan. We recommend leaving after 11 AM.

Un'avventura fantastica attraversando Wadi mozzafiato e dormendo sotto stelle cadenti. Una guida eccezionale (walkingnose), attenta, instancabile capace di prevedere e superare ogni imprevisto. Un gruppo unito, affiatato: i compagni di viaggio perfetti. Due guide beduine cammellate che hanno reso il tutto ancora più semplice e divertente. Una regia da remoto (Sofia di mapo tapo) che ci ha sostenuto ad ogni passo. Arrivare a Petra in questo modo non poteva essere più epico e favoloso. Grazie a tutti.

Eserienza unica, Alessandro è stato una guida unica, energica e coinvolgente, esperta e ha saputo ben gestire il gruppo. La regia di Mapo-Tapo è stata sempre all'altezza delle aspettative nonostante qualche disguido da parte del tour operator giordano, ma anche da quel versante ottima organizzazione, strutture e guide!
