What you'll do

Embark on an 8-day backcountry skiing expedition through the rugged heart of Wyoming’s Teton Range. Designed for experienced skiers, this traverse blends technical ascents, thrilling freeride descents, and remote alpine camping. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll explore legendary terrain, summit iconic peaks, and carve lines through untouched powder. This is more than a ski trip... it’s a full mountain immersion in one of North America’s most dramatic alpine landscapes!

Itinerary

Arrive at Jackson Hole Airport where you'll meet your guides and fellow adventurers (4 PM). After checking into a cozy lodge in Jackson, you'll participate in a comprehensive gear check and trip briefing. The day wraps up with an avalanche safety refresher and group dinner to kick off the journey.
We start early with a hearty breakfast before heading into the Teton backcountry. The day involves skinning through alpine terrain as we make our approach and establish a base camp. In the afternoon, we’ll do a short tour to acclimate and settle into the rhythm of life in the mountains.
With the base camp set, we begin exploring deeper lines and high alpine objectives. Terrain selection depends on conditions, but expect powder descents and steep couloirs. The day focuses on maximizing vertical while emphasizing avalanche awareness and group movement in technical terrain.
Today may include an ascent of a classic peak like Nez Perce or a traverse to new terrain. You'll skin through dramatic ridgelines, bootpack up chutes, and earn thrilling freeride descents. Snowpack assessments continue throughout as we adapt to changing conditions.
This day may be a roving tour to a new zone or a high camp repositioning, depending on group energy and snow conditions. With wide-open bowls and hidden stashes, this is a full-value day with potential for some of the longest runs of the trip.
As the expedition nears its peak, we aim for a signature descent—a dream line worthy of the journey. After reaching a remote summit, we’ll celebrate with a panoramic view and drop in. That evening, we gather at camp under starlit skies to share stories from the adventure.
Our final morning starts with a sunrise tour and one last descent before breaking camp. We skin out of the Tetons and return to civilization, arriving back in Jackson for a well-earned shower and a celebratory group dinner in town.
After breakfast at the lodge, it’s time to say goodbye to the group and head to Jackson Hole Airport for your journey home, carrying unforgettable memories and fresh powder stoke (11 AM).
