What you'll do

Join us for the most famous trekking in Sardinia, the Selvaggio Blu, paired with a sailing experience. This 40 km hike connects S. Maria Navarrese to Cala Sisine on the East Coast. Navigate challenging paths with expert mountain guides, using ropes for belaying and descending cliffs. Bivouac or stay in farms, and enjoy our sailboat cabins. A rubber tender takes us to the trek starting points and picks us up at the end of each day. Experience trekking and sailing on the Selvaggio Blu.

Itinerary

Arrive at Marina di S. Maria Navarrese port by 6 pm. We will have a briefing to go over the trekking stages and boat maneuvers and check equipment. Settle into your cabin, which will be your home throughout the tour.
The adventure begins as the boat takes us to Pedralonga, the starting point of the trek. This warm-up day introduces us to the Selvaggio Blu and the Sardinian coast. We will trek to Punta Giradili, about 700m high, reaching a karst plateau with rocky fields. Our destination for the day is Monte Ginnirco, from where we return to the boat. If time allows, we can organize some climbing on the famous Pedralonga walls, with various difficulties from 4c to 5b/5c and beyond. Altitude difference: 700 m (2296 ft) Time: 4-5 hours
We will continue trekking on a high-level route featuring short cliff passages on sturdy juniper roots. Our goal is the unique rocky fjord of Portu Pedrosu. We will board the tender to reach the sailboat and enjoy a refreshing shower.
Today's destination is the spectacular Cala Goloritzé. After landing at Portu Cuao, we resume trekking, passing classic sheepfolds with an uphill elevation of about 600m. We will reach and descend to the bay, admiring the famous Aguglia di Goloritzé or Punta Carioli, one of Sardinia's top climbing spots. The crystal-clear water here is breathtaking, and we will spend the night on the sailboat under the limestone rock obelisk. Altitude difference: 600 m (1968 ft)
Enjoy a fantastic day of sailing to Cala Mariolu. This allows us to bypass a long rocky bastion overlooking the sea. We will sleep in this stunning bay, nestled among the vertical cliff walls.
Climbing up the ridge for about 400m and passing through various rocky slopes with rope descents, we reach the spectacular Mudalaru caves. We will continue towards Cala Biriola with additional uphill hikes through the woods. Rest on board in the crystal-clear waters before our final day of trekking. Altitude difference: 400 m (1312 ft)
On the sixth day, we tackle a trek with easy climbing sections (grade 3c) on a system of ledges for an elevation of about 200m and rope descents. We will arrive at the beautiful Cala Sisine, concluding with the Selvaggio Blu. We will board the boat and, possibly driven by the wind, sail back to the Marina of Santa Maria Navarrese. Altitude difference: 200 m (656 ft)
After the last overnight stay on the boat, disembark at 10 am and head to the airport for your flight home.
