You’ll camp under the stars, learn from knowledgeable guides, and enjoy fresh, seasonal meals every day.Whether you’re new to hiking or already hooked on the trail, this trip lets you reconnect with nature and discover why the Pacific Northwest is one of the most magical corners of the planet.

Itinerary

Your journey kicks off in Seattle, at the airport, you meet your guide and fellow adventurers (we suggest you land around 12 PM). From there, you’ll drive toward Olympic National Park and stretch your legs on a short hike to Sol Duc Falls, one of the region’s most enchanting waterfalls. In the evening, you’ll settle into your first camp under the tall evergreens, share dinner, and go over the exciting days ahead.
Rise and shine for a full day of contrasts! Start your morning in Port Angeles with a calm sea kayaking session, gliding through peaceful coves while spotting otters, jellyfish, and seabirds. After lunch, you’ll trade the ocean breeze for alpine air with a hike along Hurricane Ridge, where sweeping views of the Salish Sea and Olympic Mountains await.
Get ready to enter another world: the Hoh Rainforest, one of the last remaining temperate rainforests on Earth. The moss-covered trees, ferns, and soft green light feel like stepping into a dream. After a picnic lunch, you’ll make your way to the Pacific coast for a scenic beach walk among sea stacks and pelicans as waves crash nearby.
Today you’ll leave the Olympic Peninsula behind and travel toward Mount Rainier National Park, known locally as Tahoma. Along the drive, you’ll stop for lunch before reaching White River Campground, nestled beneath towering pines. Depending on the time, you might take a gentle walk along the Emmons Glacier trail, where icy vistas remind you of nature’s power.
It’s time for your most rewarding hike! You’ll head into the Yakima Park (Sunrise) area, one of the most spectacular sections of Mount Rainier. The mountain dominates the skyline as you hike through wildflower meadows and rocky ridges. Whether under blue skies or moody clouds, the views will take your breath away. Celebrate your effort with one last campfire dinner and a toast to your adventure.
After one last morning in nature, you’ll head back to Seattle to explore its vibrant side. Wander through Pike Place Market, admire the glass art at Chihuly Garden, or visit one of the Regional Tribal Cultural Centers to connect with local heritage. You’ll stay in a cozy hotel downtown. And yes, a hot shower is finally yours! This evening, we’ll enjoy a final group dinner together (not included).
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to your fellow travelers and this unforgettable slice of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll be dropped off at the airport, and you’ll leave (we suggest booking your flight around 12 PM) with memories of forest walks, glacial peaks, ocean breezes, and the laughter shared around the campfire.

Sydney and Good Trip Adventures

This will be Sydney's fifth season guiding in the US National Parks! As a lifelong educator, guiding seemed like the natural way to connect two of her favorite things – getting outside and teaching. She prides herself on making everyone feel like they have a spot in the outdoors and deserve to witness all the amazing and healing properties nature has to offer. Sydney discovered the outdoors in the lush forests and dramatic views of the Pacific Northwest. She may be biased because this is where she learned to eat, sleep, and exist outside, but she thinks the Cascade mountains are the most beautiful, special peaks in the world.
