The Annapurna Base Camp trek, also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, stands as one of the most renowned journeys within the Annapurna region, offering an unparalleled immersion into the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas. This expedition encompasses a trek to Annapurna Base Camp, unveiling a panorama of majestic mountain peaks, traditional Gurung settlements, and enchanting rhododendron forests. Positioned beneath the towering Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalaya ranges. The trek presents an array of awe-inspiring vistas, including the iconic Machapuchhare (6,993m), Mt. Annapurna II (7,939m), Mt. Annapurna III (7,555m), Mt. Annapurna IV (7,525m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6,986m), and Mt. Hiuchuli (6,441m). Additionally, trekkers can rejuvenate in natural hot springs along the route, adding to the allure of this unforgettable Himalayan adventure.

Itinerary

Welcome to the gateway of the Annapurna trek, Kathmandu. Our guide, representing Freedom Adventures, awaits you at Tribhuwan International Airport. We recommend arrive before 4 PM. Post-hotel check-in, immerse yourself in the vibrant streets of Thamel, a treasure trove for travellers. Dive into the local culture with a Nepali dinner and prepare for your adventure with a comprehensive trek briefing. Stay overnight in Kathmandu, resting up for the exciting journey ahead.
Embark on a scenic flight to Pokhara, the serene lakeside city and a pivotal stop on the Annapurna circuit trek. Post-flight, a drive to Siwai sets the stage for our hike to Chomrong. As we trek, marvel at the cascading waterfalls and lush forests, arriving at Chomrong, a significant Gurung settlement. Overnight in Chomrong.
Trek from Chomrong through mesmerizing jungles to Ghurjung and onwards to Sinwa, enjoying splendid views of Machapucchare Peak. The Annapurna sanctuary begins to reveal its wonders. Overnight in Sinwa.
Continue along the river from Sinwa to Bamboo, an ascent filled with breathtaking vistas. The Annapurna base camp trek is challenging but rewarding, leading us to Deurali for the night.
Today’s trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp traverses river shores and steep trails. The peaks of Mount Fishtail, Annapurna South, and others greet us as we approach the base camp. The panoramic view from Annapurna base camp is a rewarding experience for every hiker. Overnight at the base camp.
Begin the descent from the snowy embrace of the mountains back to the lush landscapes, pausing at Machapuchhare Base Camp for last glances at the majestic peaks. Overnight in Bamboo, surrounded by its namesake vegetation.
Trek uphill to Kulldighar, then down to Chomrong Khola. Climbing the stone steps back to Chomrong, we proceed to Jhinu Danda. Here, we rejuvenate in the hot springs, a balm for our muscles. Overnight at Jhinu Danda.
Our last trekking day offers tranquil views of Nepal’s midhills. Returning to Siwai, we drive to Pokhara for a restful overnight stay, and the Annapurna circuit tour is nearing its end.
A drive from Pokhara brings us back to Kathmandu. Utilize the day for leisure and last-minute shopping in Thamel. We gather for a celebratory dinner, reminiscing about our journey through the Annapurna circuit.
As our Annapurna base camp package concludes, we part ways at Tribhuwan International Airport. We bid you farewell, carrying memories of the majestic Annapurna sanctuary. We recommend departing after 10-11 AM in order to have a good last breakfast together with the group.
