What you'll do

This sail and climb adventure along the Amalfi Coast blends world-class limestone climbing with life on a sailboat, moving day by day through one of Italy’s most iconic coastlines. From sea-level crags at Punta Campanella to panoramic routes above Positano and Amalfi, every day offers a different perspective on the coast—sometimes hundreds of meters above the water, sometimes directly above it. You’ll explore legendary locations like the Trail of the Gods, climb above historic villages, and you can experience deep water soloing in turquoise bays. Sailing between destinations keeps the journey fluid and immersive, with evenings spent anchored in harbors or beside Capri’s famous sea stacks. The experience is open to a wide range of climbers, with routes adaptable to different levels and a strong focus on technique, confidence, and enjoyment rather than performance. Life on board is collaborative: cooking, organizing gear, and sharing daily moments become part of the adventure. It’s an active, social, and deeply scenic journey—where limestone, sea, and southern Italian culture come together naturally.

Itinerary

You’ll meet the group in Marina di Stabia, with check-in available after 18:00. This first evening is all about settling in, organizing the boat, and getting into the rhythm of life at sea. Together with the skipper and guide, you’ll prepare the sailboat for the week ahead and get to know your fellow travelers. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, setting the tone for a shared adventure where teamwork and good vibes are key.
Early in the morning, you’ll sail toward Punta Campanella, the northernmost cape of the Amalfi Coast, with Mount Vesuvius fading behind you. This crag is perfect for warming up, with routes suitable for all levels and climbs starting directly from sea level. Between climbs, you can snorkel in crystal-clear water and enjoy the unique perspective of climbing straight above the sea. The day ends with a spectacular sunset behind Capri.
You’ll disembark in Positano, soaking in the unmistakable “dolce vita” atmosphere before heading inland. After coffee and local sweets, a transfer takes you to one of the highest climbing crags on the coast, above Montepertuso. Here, you’ll climb beneath an impressive natural cavity on exceptional limestone. The day wraps up with a simple, authentic meal in a local taverna, overlooking the coast from 400 meters above the sea.
In the morning, you’ll sail to Nocelle and start hiking the legendary Sentiero degli Dei. This panoramic 7 km trail connects Nocelle to Agerola and offers breathtaking views over the coast. Along the way, you’ll stop at scenic climbing crags before continuing the trek. At the end of the trail, the boat will be waiting to bring you back aboard for the evening.
You’ll return to Positano to explore its famous limestone crags, shaped by caves, columns, and overhangs. In the afternoon, the focus shifts to deep water soloing in Positano’s bay, where you can climb above the sea with the freedom to drop straight into the water. At sunset, you’ll sail to Amalfi, mooring in the harbor and heading out for a seafood dinner at a local fish tavern.
Starting from Amalfi harbor, you’ll stop for breakfast at Pansa, one of Italy’s oldest bakeries. From there, you’ll hike up to Torre dello Ziro, climbing on cliffs overlooking Amalfi’s iconic square. After the session, you’ll sail toward Capri Island, spending the night anchored near its famous sea stacks.
You’ll wake up to sunrise between Capri’s sea stacks before sailing around the island. The day is dedicated to exploring sea caves and squeezing in more deep water soloing where conditions allow. In the afternoon, you’ll sail back to Marina di Stabia, arriving by 18:00.
Disembarkation takes place in the morning, before 09:00, marking the end of the trip.
