What you'll do

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wadi Rum is visited by climbers from all over the world looking to conquer the area's extraordinary sandstone peaks. While Nomadic Bedouins have been scrambling these peaks for centuries, it's only in the past 35 years that trad routes have started to be developed in the area. During this 'trad camp', you will get to climb some of these adventurous routes, explore some very off-the-beaten-track rock climbing areas, discover Jordan's unique historical heritage, and experience the legendary Bedouin hospitality. The 1:2 guide:client ratio gives you the opportunity to pick the routes that tempt you the most and develop your trad climbing skills in a safe and supportive environment. What's more, no prior trad experience is needed!

Itinerary

Arrive in Amman in the morning and transfer to Wadi Rum. Settle into your accommodation and get to know your fellow travellers and guides over dinner. The transfer from Amman airport to Wadi Rum Camp will depart at 2 PM, we suggest you to arrive before 1 PM.
Today, we'll be heading out for our first day of climbing. The focus will be beautiful multi-pitch routes that the guide will choose depending on our climbing level.
Yesterday was just a warm-up for today! On day 3 of the trip we'll try some slightly more difficult multi-pitch routes. Bring your sleeping bag, as we'll be staying here overnight under the stars.
After three days on, it's time to give your fingers some rest! There are 2 possibilities here: 1) Join the rest of the group on the next adventure that will depart today (Our trip: Jordan the Authentic!), in the morning you will have the opportunity to do another short multi-pitch route with Alessio. 2) Take the transfer back to Amman in the morning, in case you are just joining the trad camp. We recommend leaving in the afternoon after 4 PM.
