What you'll do

This is an 8-day Sail and Climbing Expedition in Kalymnos, where the boat is your floating home and your best advantage. You’ll start in Kos Marina, stock the boat, and then sail into the Aegean to unlock Kalymnos in the most effortless way possible: anchoring close to the action and accessing remote sectors directly from the water. Over the week, you’ll climb on world-class limestone across iconic areas like Vathy, Telendos, Arginonta, Palionisos, and the legendary Sikati Cave—with the daily rhythm that makes this trip addictive: swim, sail, climb, repeat. No long car transfers, no crowded accommodation hubs—just clean logistics, big views, and real Aegean atmosphere. You’ll be supported by a professional Skipper and a UIAGM-certified Mountain Guide, and you don’t need sailing experience to join. Expect an authentic island immersion too: quiet inlets, small fishing villages, and dinners in local tavernas. This is Kalymnos the fun, efficient, sea-drenched way

Itinerary

You land in Kos and head to the marina for check-in and that first “we’re really doing this” feeling. Ideally, arrive before 17:00 so you can settle in without rushing. Today is all about meeting the crew, getting comfortable on board, and organizing the galley together. You’ll feel the shift from travel mode to adventure mode as the boat becomes your mobile basecamp for the week—simple, sea-salty, and exciting.
You finally sail to Kalymnos and drop anchor in Vathy, a secluded fjord-like inlet that feels unreal the first time you see it. The best part? A newly bolted crag is just 100 meters from the boat—so you’re climbing fast, not wasting time on transfers. Expect a first taste of Kalymnos limestone, plus that unbeatable rhythm: climb, swim, smile, repeat.
Today you sail to Telendos, the tiny island that feels like a secret: it’s accessible only by sea. You’ll spend the afternoon climbing on crags with a range of difficulties, so you can push your level without feeling pressured. Between routes, you’ll look out over the Aegean and wonder how this can be a real place.
You anchor in Arginonta, where the climbing is basically endless: over 1,000 sport routes, from easier grades to seriously hard lines (grades 4 to 9). This is the day you settle into the full flow—wake up, coffee, climb, jump in the sea, climb again. You’ll feel your technique sharpen as you learn to “read” the famous Kalymnos limestone.
Start with a morning session in Arginonta—because why wouldn’t you? Then you sail through Dolphin’s Bay toward Palionisos, one of those places that instantly slows your breathing down. Tonight is for a proper local vibe: dinner in a family-run seafood taverna, sea air in your hair, and that satisfied tiredness you only get after a full day outside.
Today is pure “climb & dive” magic: you sail to Sikati Cave (aka The Beach crag), where the access is as dreamy as the climbing. You’ll climb world-class limestone, then cool off by jumping straight into turquoise water—no dusty roads, no long approaches, no stress. Just you, the rock, and the sea.
Enjoy a final climb in Palionisos, squeeze in one last swim, and then sail back toward Kos Marina, aiming to arrive by 18:00. It’s a bittersweet day: you’ll feel proud of what you climbed, and you’ll already miss the simplicity of living on the water. In the evening, you’re back in the marina—sun-kissed, salty, and very happy.
Disembarkation day in Kos. If you’re flying out, plan your departure after 11:30 so you can leave without rushing. Say your goodbyes, pack your soft bag, and take one last look at the harbor—because after a week of sailing + climbing, “normal travel” is going to feel a bit… less magical.
