What you'll do

Sardinia offers a rare combination of wild coastlines, crystal-clear water, and extraordinary rock. This Sail & Climb expedition explores the island from a unique perspective, moving by boat between remote anchorages, cliffs, and beaches that are often unreachable by land. Over eight days, you’ll climb on granite, limestone, and basalt, sometimes starting routes directly from the sea, other times hiking through canyons, forests, and valleys to reach secluded crags. The rhythm of the trip is shaped by light, weather, and terrain—sunrise sails, climbing in sun or shade, swims between pitches, and evenings shared on board or ashore. The experience is open to climbers of all backgrounds, with the focus on technique, confidence, and enjoyment rather than performance. Life on the boat is collaborative: cooking, organizing gear, and sharing daily tasks become part of the adventure. From Cala Fuili to Cala Luna and the final ridge on Tavolara, this journey is about movement, presence, and discovering Sardinia as a world of its own.

Itinerary

You’ll arrive in Olbia and meet the group at Marina di Olbia, with check-in available after 18:00. The evening is dedicated to settling into the boat, organizing cabins, and preparing for the week ahead. It’s a relaxed start, easing into life on board and meeting your crew.
After a morning sail south, you’ll drop anchor in front of Cala Fuili. Lunch is enjoyed on the boat with views of the wild coastline, before heading ashore to explore a canyon that opens directly from the beach. With over 200 bolted routes, this area offers a full afternoon of climbing in a dramatic setting.
You’ll wake up in paradise, with the quiet beach all to yourself. The approach to the crag leads through valleys, forests, and creeks, revealing a remote and immersive landscape. The climbing is set inside a canyon, allowing flexibility between sun and shade throughout the day. In the evening, locals welcome you at an old sheepfold for a traditional Sardinian dinner.
Today is all about climbing directly above the sea. At Pedra Longa, routes rise straight out of the water, with belays suspended above deep blue. Surrounded by some of the tallest cliffs in the Mediterranean, this is a day where sailing and climbing truly merge into one experience.
You’ll reach Cala Luna, one of Sardinia’s most iconic beaches. Climbing routes sit beside white sand and caves carved into limestone cliffs. The day flows between climbing, snorkeling, cave exploration, and rest. In the evening, you’ll sail to Cala Gonone and head ashore for a seafood dinner in a local fish taverna.
Today you’ll climb above the village of Cala Gonone, choosing among several high-quality crags. The highlight is a visit to the famous Millennium Cave. Between climbs, there’s time to wander the village and enjoy a classic Italian gelato before returning to the boat.
You’ll sail at sunrise to Tavolara Island and ascend the Ferrata degli Angeli, a via ferrata following a dramatic ridge up to Punta Cannone, 560 meters above the sea. After descending, the boat awaits at Spalmatore di Terra for a final swim before sailing back to Marina di Olbia by 18:00.
Disembarkation takes place in Olbia before 09:00, marking the end of the trip.
