What you'll do

SurfWeek Asturias is a surf, nature and community experience in one of Northern Spain’s most underrated coastal regions. Based near Cudillero, you’ll stay in a welcoming surf house surrounded by green hills, ocean views and wild Atlantic landscapes. The trip is designed for people who want to surf, disconnect, meet new people and explore Asturias without the pressure of a rigid schedule. Days flow around the group, the weather and the ocean conditions: surf lessons, beach time, coastal villages, shared dinners and relaxed moments at the house. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, freedom, wildness and SurfWeek community energy. Enjoy!

Itinerary

Day 1 – Salty Air and Surf House Welcome

Touch down in Asturias and breathe in the salty Atlantic air (we suggest landing at 4 PM). After a short 20-minute transfer from Oviedo airport, you’ll settle into our cozy surf house nestled near the dramatic cliffs of Cudillero. We’ll kick things off with an introductory briefing to get you ready for the swells ahead, followed by a welcome aperitif and dinner. It’s the perfect time to meet your fellow travelers, share a drink, and toast to the start of an unforgettable week on the waves.

Day 2 – Surf, Skate, and Sunset Waves

Wake up to the sound of the Atlantic and fuel up with a fresh breakfast at the surf house. Today, you hit the water for your first formal coaching session, focusing on your stance and wave reading under the guidance of expert instructors. After a restorative lunch, we'll take the training to the pavement with a surfskate session to fine-tune your balance and flow. As the sun begins to dip, the ocean is yours for a sunset freesurf, followed by a communal dinner to share stories of the day's best waves.

Day 3 – Coastal cliffs and yoga flow

Fuel your body with a fresh breakfast at the SurfHouse before heading back to the waves for your second coached session. With the basics under your belt, today is all about finding your flow and feeling the Atlantic's energy. After a relaxed beach lunch, we'll trade our boards for hiking boots to explore the 'Ruta de los Miradores,' a coastal trail offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Asturian cliffs. As the day winds down, find your center with a sunset yoga session followed by a communal dinner back at our cozy home base.

Day 4 – Coastal Cliffs to Lighthouse Sunset

Savor a slow morning at the Surfhouse before heading back to the waves for your third progressive lesson. After refueling with a fresh lunch, we'll dive into surf theory to refine your technique and understanding of the ocean. The afternoon is dedicated to the raw beauty of the Asturian coast: we'll hike to the dramatic cliffs of Playa del Silencio and Cabo Vidio. We'll end the day in true local style with an unforgettable dinner from a food truck perched right by the lighthouse, watching the sun dip into the Atlantic.

Day 5 – Sunset freesurf and Asturian sidrería

Fuel up with breakfast at the SurfHouse before we hit the road to explore the rugged beauty of the West Coast. We'll head off the beaten path to discover hidden coves and dramatic cliffs, stopping for a traditional lunch at a local sidrería to taste the heart of Asturian culture. As the day mellows, we return to the waves for a sunset freesurf session, catching the golden hour on the water before sharing a home-cooked dinner back at the house.

Day 6 – Camino Cliffs and Coastal Cleans

Fuel your body with a fresh breakfast at the surf house before heading back to the waves for your fourth coaching session. By now, the rhythm of the ocean feels like second nature. After a communal lunch, we trade our boards for hiking boots to walk a scenic portion of the Camino de Santiago, winding through the lush Asturian cliffs. We'll give back to the coastline with a beach clean-up, preserving the wild beauty of Cudillero, before gathering shared stories over a final sunset dinner at the surf house.

Day 7 – Mirador Santa Ana sunset surf

Fuel your body with breakfast at the surf house before heading out for your final coached session. Today is about flow and finesse, putting everything you've learned over the week into practice on the Asturian swells. After a celebratory BBQ back at the house, spend the golden hour catching your own waves during a sunset free-surf session. We'll wrap up the day with a walk to the Mirador Santa Ana for a panoramic view of the rugged coastline, followed by a final dinner together to toast to an unforgettable week in the water.

Day 8 – Sun-kissed skin and salty breezes

Savor one last breakfast at the SurfHouse as you soak in the salty Atlantic breeze. After a final morning of shared stories and mellow vibes, it's time to say goodbye to the rugged Asturian coast. We'll handle the 20-minute transfer to Oviedo Airport (we suggest departing later than 10 AM), leaving you with sun-kissed skin, tired muscles, and the unmistakable urge to paddle back out soon.
