What you'll do

This is an 8-day surf, culture and community experience on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, based in a SurfHouse in the laid-back surf village of Tamraght. Just above the ocean and close to famous surf spots like Taghazout, Banana Point and Devil’s Rock, this trip is designed for travellers who want to learn to surf, enjoy Moroccan hospitality and live a relaxed surf-house lifestyle. Days follow the SurfWeek flow: surf lessons, beach time, shared meals, sunsets, local markets, optional yoga and free time with the group. It’s not a rigid, minute-by-minute itinerary, but a flexible experience shaped around the waves, the weather and the group vibe. Perfect for beginners, solo travellers and anyone looking for sun, ocean, culture and connection.

Itinerary

Pick-up at Agadir airport and transfer (50 minutes by car) to the surf house in Tamraght — a quiet village on the coast 6km from the famous surf town of Taghazout, chosen precisely because it sits directly in front of the main surf spots without the crowds. After settling into the surfhouse (check-in from 4 PM onward), join the crew on the terrace to watch the Atlantic swell roll in. We’ll kick off the adventure with a welcome dinner, sharing stories under the stars as we prep for a week of salt, sand, and perfect lines.
Fuel your body with a sunrise breakfast and a deep dive into surf theory. From decoding ocean swells to mastering the perfect pop-up, you’ll gain the tools to tackle the Atlantic with confidence. Head to the waves for your guided lesson, followed by an afternoon of free surfing and sun-drenched relaxation on the sand. As the heavy Moroccan sun begins to dip, head back to the terrace for sunset drinks and a communal dinner at the surfhouse.
Morning starts in the water with your second lesson, followed by a relaxed lunch right on the sand. In the afternoon, we trade the waves for the pavement with a surfskate session—the ultimate tool to refine your balance and technique on land. As the day winds down, we head to the nearby dunes. Watch the sun dip straight into the Atlantic from the crest of the desert, with the option to try some high-energy sandboarding as the light fades.
Ride the morning swell for your third surf session before retreating home for a slow, sun-drenched brunch. As the afternoon unfolds, we leave the coast behind for the rugged beauty of the Atlas foothills. Wind your way to Paradise Valley, a hidden oasis of emerald rock pools and ancient argan groves. After visiting a local argan cooperative, we’ll gather for dinner and acoustic music under a vast desert sky, finding a different kind of magic in the silence of the mountains.
Swap the surfboard for a longboard as we chase legendary peels toward the south. Today, we journey to Imsouane, a sun-drenched fishing village where the waves seemingly roll on forever. After a morning rhythm matched by the Atlantic tides, we’ll gather for a fresh lunch at Magic Bay, overlooking the surf from our perch above the water. The afternoon is yours to wander the dusty streets, find your flow on a skate deck, or ground yourself with sunset yoga. We’ll return to the warmth of our surfhouse for a quiet dinner under the Moroccan stars.
Your fourth lesson unfolds on the golden sands of Tamraght, where you’ll fine-tune your technique in the morning swell. After a relaxed beach lunch, we make the pilgrimage to Anchor Point. This legendary right-hand break is the crown jewel of Moroccan surfing; watching the pros carve from the clifftop is a masterclass in itself. We’ll round off the afternoon exploring the vibrant, bohemian streets of Taghazout before heading back to the surfhouse for a well-earned communal dinner.
Wake up to the scent of fresh ocean air for your final day in paradise. We’ll start with a sensory journey through the vibrant Agadir souk, wandering through stalls brimming with aromatic spices, handcrafted leather, and intricate ceramics. After a traditional home-cooked lunch, it’s time to hit the water for your fifth and final surf session. Whether you’re perfecting your pop-up or riding your last green wave of the week, soak up every moment as the sun dips below the horizon. We’ll toast to an unforgettable journey with a communal farewell dinner at the surfhouse, celebrating new friendships and the Moroccan spirit.
After common mornings of salt and sunrise, it’s time to say goodbye to the Moroccan coast. Check out by 10 AM and transfer (50 minutes) to Agadir airport, carrying the rhythm of the Atlantic back home with you. Morocco has a way of lingering in your soul—don't be surprised if you're already planning your return to the waves before you even take off.
