What you'll do

Trade the polished resorts for the raw, untamed beauty of Morocco’s wild Atlantic south. In Sidi Ifni, where the Sahara’s ochre dunes tumble into a crashing ocean, life follows the rhythm of the tides rather than the tick of a clock. This 8-day experience is an invitation to slow down, paddle out, and immerse yourself in the authentic soul of the coast. Designed for those who crave connection over luxury and adventure over rigid schedules, this trip is your gateway to the Atlantic lifestyle. Your days are shaped by the elements: morning surf sessions on uncrowded breaks, afternoons exploring sun-bleached Art Deco streets, and golden hours spent watching the horizon from the cliffs. Whether you are catching your first wave in the beginner-friendly foam or refining your technique under the guidance of local experts, the energy of the ocean is the constant heartbeat of the journey. Beyond the swell, the SurfWeek spirit is built around the table and the campfire. Wander through bustling local markets, share traditional dinners at our house, and find a community of like-minded travelers who value the simplicity of a desert sunset. This isn't just a surf camp; it’s a deep dive into the desert-meets-ocean landscapes and the warm hospitality that defines southern Morocco. Come for the waves, stay for the silence of the dunes and the bonds formed between sets.

Itinerary

Your Moroccan adventure begins. You land in Agadir, where the SurfWeek crew picks you up and drives you south along the Atlantic coast to Sidi Ifni — a two-and-a-half-hour ride through dramatic landscapes that sets the tone perfectly. Check in from 3 PM, settle into the surf house perched above the city, then join the welcome briefing to meet your group and get the lowdown on the week ahead. The evening is yours to explore the local medina and share a first dinner together at the house
Your first morning in the water. After breakfast, your certified local instructor runs the opening theory session on the beach before you paddle in for lesson one. Beginners start in the white water; returning surfers get an honest assessment and head straight into the lineup. Lunch on the beach or back at the house, then the afternoon belongs to a hands-on Moroccan cooking class — tagine, spices, and good conversation. End the day watching the sun sink into the Atlantic from Legzira Beach, its famous stone arches glowing orange.
Surf lesson two in the morning, followed by free surf for anyone who wants to keep going. After lunch, the crew takes you to the skatepark in nearby Mirleft for a surfskate demo — one of the best off-water tools for reading waves and improving footwork. Back at the house, a video analysis session breaks down your footage from the day. Evening is relaxed: sunset, chilling on the terrace, and dinner at home.
Today, you chase waves south. Lesson three takes place at Sidi Ouarzeg, a stretch of coast below Sidi Ifni where the swell often runs cleaner and more consistently. Lunch on the beach straight out of the coolboxes. Free surf in the afternoon — by now, you're starting to read the ocean differently. Dinner at a local spot right on the seafront, the kind of place that doesn't need a sign.
No surf today — instead, a full-day 4x4 expedition into the Sahara. The desert begins closer than you'd think, and driving into it feels like stepping onto another planet. Packed lunch under the open sky, sand dunes as far as you can see, the silence you only find in places like this. Back by evening, dinner at the house, and the legs of anyone who tried sandboarding are suitably tired.
Back in the water for lesson four. The group is sharper now — you can feel the difference from day two. After lunch, the afternoon takes you up to the ancient Spanish fort above Mirleft, a crumbling hilltop ruin with one of the best sunset views on this stretch of coast. Dinner at home, stories shared, the week already feeling too short.
The fifth and final surf lesson, then one last free surf session to put everything together. In the afternoon, the crew loads the boards and drives you to coastal sand dunes that drop straight toward the ocean — sandboarding here is as close to surfing dry land as it gets. Sunset from the dunes. Last dinner together at the house.
Breakfast, last looks at the ocean from the terrace, and checkout by 10:00 AM. The transfer back to Agadir airport departs on schedule. You leave with salt in your hair, a new read on waves, and a group of people you hadn't met eight days ago.
